Chicken Vermicelli With Sundried Tomato Sauce

  1. One package (7.0 ounces) NEAR EAST® Vermicelli Pasta with Roasted Garlic & Olive Oil
  2. 1 tablespoon olive oil
  3. 1/2 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts (2 halves), cut into thin strips
  4. 1 cup sliced fresh mushrooms
  5. 1/4 cup coarsely chopped walnuts (optional)
  6. 1/3 cup milk
  7. 1/4 cup chopped sundried tomatoes in olive oil or 1/2 cup chopped fresh tomato
  8. Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Preparation Instructions
  1. Cook pasta as package directs. Drain; keep warm.
  2. Meanwhile in large skillet, heat oil over medium-high heat. Add chicken; cook 2 minutes, stirring frequently. Add mushrooms and walnuts; cook 3 minutes longer, stirring frequently.
  3. Add milk, tomatoes and contents of Spice Sack. Bring to a boil; reduce heat to low. Simmer 1 to 2 minutes. Toss with cooked pasta. Serve with cheese if desired.
