Preparation Steps

  1. Prepare Near East rice according to package directions, except stir- in peas, cumin and red pepper flakes when adding spice sack.
  2. Meanwhile, in large skillet, heat margarine over medium-low heat. Add onions, cook 15 to 20 minutes, stirring occasionally, or until onions are caramelized or golden brown.
  3. Stir cooked chicken and red bell pepper into prepared rice. Serve onions over rice.
